WHAT we do

We use the modalilty of Narrative Exposure Therapy (NET) as a framework through which the connections and disconnections of the human experience are viewed.

Flowers are our moments of connection, pride, accomplishment and love.
Stones are our moments of disconnection, pain, fear and shame.
Sticks are our moments of guilt.
Candles are our moments of loss and grief.

And all of these symbols are situated along the chronological line of our lives, from birth to today.

FAQ

Narrative Exposure Therapy (NET) is an empirically supported, brief intervention recommended by the American Psychological Association in the treatment of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).

NET uses a lifeline approach to contextualize
and chronologize life changing events. Through compassionately structured storytelling,
survivor accounts of human rights abuses are documented, and the dignity of
survivors is restored.
